The PostgresSQL Transition Guide Helps You Make The Switch

 There is now an English version of a guide that goes through the considerations you have to make in order to migrate to Postgres from another Database Management System.


Initially released in 2013 association with the French administration, the guide was previously only available in French. Its English version came out in November 2021 with the aim to address a much wider audience.


It's a light read that, without going too deep into technical details, enumerates the advantages of using PostgreSQL by describing its integration, security and robustness mechanisms.
